counter strike game

yup go to the download-directory and run this command in a terminal (applications > accessories >terminal):

wine SteamInstall.exe

well ,i go through the command wine streaminstall.exe.After that the installation completed.A message occur:gecko install.I go through but download does not occur.Well, the file i downloaded in Desktop"streaminstall".

Hi :)

It's really not a good idea to operate as Root User / Super User for long. It's much much better to run Ubuntu as a normal user and then make occasional use of the "sudo" command when you find a command wont work without it.

Otherwise your permissions and things for all kinds of stuff get really messed up. For 1 good reason not to use Root User too much consider the security problems that Windows constantly has to deal with.
