Sorry but i do not understand your question. Do you need to know the revision of the Beagleboard or the exact specifications of the Beagleboard?

http://beagleboard.org/static/BBSRM_latest.pdf
Mine is revision C4.

I used the prebuild Ubuntu 11.10 from https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ARM/OMAP

I wanted to set up an ad-hoc network but ran into problems with constantly connecting and deconnecting.
After some research i learned that this is a common problem with 11.10 and that wicd could help.
Late at night, i was tired, and installed wicd with a functional internet connection. Becouse i was not paying attention enough i removed the network manager just to see that my wicd installation failed.
So now i need to install wicd, or network manager without an internet connection. Therefor i downloaded the packages on a windows pc, but them on a usb drive and installed everything i needed offline.
This worked for:

python_2.7.2-7ubuntu2_all.deb
python-minimal_2.7.2-7ubuntu2_all.deb
python-wicd_1.7.0+ds1-6ubuntu0.11.10.1_all.deb
wicd-cli_1.7.0+ds1-6ubuntu0.11.10.1_all.deb
wicd-curses_1.7.0+ds1-6ubuntu0.11.10.1_all.deb
wicd-daemon_1.7.0+ds1-6ubuntu0.11.10.1_all.deb
wicd_1.7.0+ds1-6ubuntu0.11.10.1_all.deb

but not for
wicd-gtk_1.7.0+ds1-6ubuntu0.11.10.1_all.deb

Failed to download package files.
Check your internet connection.

I hope this is the information you needed.
Thanks
Richard

Install all that except the GTK one and use:

wicd-curses

Which is a nice curses based UI to wicd, you can then get connected, update and also install wicd-gtk and wicd packages.

Can you help with this problem?

Provide an answer of your own, or ask Richard Pregetter for more information if necessary.
