Will a fix for bug #819741 come to xenial?

BUG #819741 (https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=819741) currently makes some packages that depend on vtk6 completely unusable. (For me it's PCL). I understand that the bug is fixed in 6.2.0+dfsg1-11.1build2, but that package isn't available on xenial and the wealth of dependencies seem to make pulling it from the future very difficult.

Is there a plan for a fix for 819741 to come to xenial?

I suggest you report a bug and cite the link in Debian as well.

Bug #1573234 is already there.
