can I use qemu and virtualbox on same system?

Asked by ehcpdeveloper

can I use qemu and virutalbox on same ubuntu 9.10 ?
must I remove qemu ?

is there a way to use both ?

This seems something like, "virtualbox tries to kick off qemu ?"

I used qemu , and i liked it, i use virtualbox, and i like it. but not all virtualmachines in one oper. system. The only way is to try it.
Afaik it is possible.

It shouldn't be a problem - QEMU and VirtualBox use different kernel driver accelerator modules which don't seem to conflict on my Karmic systems. You just need a lot of memory to run both simultaneously :-)

you run, but how ?
how can I run too.
I got error when trying to run Virtualbox, complaining about virtualbox module

so, my question still open.

sudo /etc/init.d/vboxdrv setup in the terminal and virtualbox will run fine.........

sudo /etc/init.d/vboxdrv setup
that failed, no file called vboxdrv.
I use Ubuntu 9.10

The error while I start virtualbox-> a virtual machine:

VirtualBox can't operate in VMX root mode. Please disable the KVM kernel extension, recompile your kernel and reboot (VERR_VMX_IN_VMX_ROOT_MODE).

Can you help with this problem?
