Nexus 7 tablet not detected through USB?
Running Ubuntu 11.4 on a Pentium 4 desktop. I have a new (google/asus) Nexus 7 tablet, when I go to connect the tablet as an external device through the USB, Ubuntu does not recognise a thing, it' just not there.
With all of the same settings at the Tablet and the some cable, ports etc. connected; I can reboot the PC to Windows XP and it finds the Tablet no problem.
I know this is such an everyday thing that one would think I shouldn't even have to ask the question and yet there it is. Ubuntu is not detecting this Tablet.
If it were an iPad I might understand, but this is an Android tablet with the Jelly Bean 4.1 it should just go...
So what is it that's being overlooked here?
