connect with my xperia need to update my phone to android 2.2

need to install windows pc companion to update my phone to android 2.2, but this program wont run, is there another program to do this ? Need some suggestions, from experienced user.

You could try to install via Wine.

I suggest you don't and grab a friends system so that the OS works as the developer of the app intended (or grab a trial of Win7 so you have 30 days worth of free Windows to then do what you need to do, and install it in closed source virtualbox so that you have USB access).

hallo Actionparsnip , i already installed virtualbox to install pc companion for my phone,
i only used an old 98 se wich did not work, I will try the 7 trial version now.
