data recovery laptop HDD

Asked by jahmbahwahnn

My 320 GB WD laptop HDD crashed and it was not recognised/shown in the BIOS and attempt to boot came back as "Check cable connection; insert bootable medium"
I removed the HD and tried connecting it to another laptop. the message was same.
Then I used USB 2.0 IDE/SATA drive adapter and tried connecting it in the same laptop by booting ubuntu, lupu 511 via usb
The HDD was not detected. Refreshed the Drive mount and still it was not detected. Then I connected it to another laptop with working HD booted with Windows vista, Ubuntu 10.04, Lupu 511, Quirky 130. None of the attempt was fruitful in detecting the crashed HDD connected via USB ide/sata adapter.

The crashed HDD is spinning as I can feel it when I touch it.

Can the data from the crashed HD be recovered?
May I be blessed with some solutions?
Thanks in advance

It looks like an hardware issue, and only solution is to send disk to a company able to repair this hardware, which means lot o $$$$$!

Can you help with this problem?
