Create USB Loadable Drive Cancels

Asked by Arnold Cohn

Running Start Up Disk Creator. Cancels with the following error message: Could not move Syslinux files in "/media/99E0-DFC2"
[Error 2] No such file or directory. Maybe "/media/u3 System" is not an Ubuntu image? From the Home screen lists the
7.9 GB Filesystem which Ubuntu_ISO is a subset. In something displayed as "media", displays 99E0-DFC2.

Ubuntu command or display that shows all the directories and files? I can display "ls media" and get the 99E0-DFC2 to
display. I can not get the 7.9 GB Filesystem to display. The third displayed icon is the USB drive to hold the bootable system.

Does Ubuntu_ISO and 99E0-DFC2 belong in the same folder?

When running the Disk Creator, I select the Ubuntu_ISO as the source, select the USB drive and then "make start up disk".

The 7.9 GB Filesystem is a flash card. I can not identify how to display the hard disk contents? I do not understand if
7.9 GB Filesystem and media are the same thing, or different segments of the system?

What do you excactly choose as your source in the upper part of the dialog? Please provide the full filename!
What does entering "mount" at the Terminal return when the startup disk creatir is running?

Disk creation failed due to the presence of the USB LaunchU3.exe present on the USB drive. I created the bootable
device on a flash memory card. Everything appeared to work. I will try to boot from the memory card when the Software Update program has completed installing new software.
