so i guess you are using unity, install the usb-creator-gtk package and the type the name into dash search

but if you are doing an install usb-stick i suggest you to install and use unetbootin to made the live install usb stick from ubuntu iso image file

http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/

Then please consider to download and to install Ubuntu 12.04 ( it is near to be released, only two day to release date)

unetbootin can be installed in Ubuntu using software centre. If you are using Windows then Marco's link will give.what you need.

Remember to MD5sum the ISO you downloaded.

Can you help with this problem?
