update-notifier package

Add a launcher to /var/lib/update-notifier/user.d

Hello,
I was wondering what are the rules for adding a launcher in the /var/lib/update-notifier/user.d which will be executed along side update-notifier as I noticed that dropbox creates that kind of file and what are the rules for creating it because I cannot find any documentation for it. I've checked forman page for update-notifier but it's missing.
