I try to run Synaptic Package Manager and come up with an error

An error occurred
E: Malformed line 45 in source list /etc/apt/sources.list (dist parse)
E: The list of sources could not be read.
Go to the repository dialog to correct the problem.
E: _cache->open() failed, please report

I don't know what to do can someone please help?

in a terminal: sudo cat /etc/apt/sources.list
put (copy/paste) this list here, or comment that line 45 in your source list out putting a # for that source- line.
