Progress bar is never complete. Why?

Ubuntu Version: Precise 12.04.3 LTS
To reproduce, wait for some updates to be detected, and update. The progress bar doesn't fully reach the right.
What should happen is exactly what happened in 10.04 LTS: the bar does show the progress accuratly and reaches the right fully.

Why does this happen? Is this problem related to Precise only?

My hardware is: 2011 Acer Emachines er1402.

Which is as I said it was. Since the upgrade from 10.04 to 12.04, I have always had this (relatively unimportant) issue.

Looks fine, if you run:

sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

Perhaps you're misunderstanding the question slightly: In update-manager's GUI all updates always install properly and nothing breaks, absolutely the only thing wrong is the progress bar doesn't reach the right when package installation is complete. It's not a huge problem, it just makes update-manager look a little rough around the edges
