I'm not able to upgrade due to full disk problem

Can you install a program ?

Open a terminal (CTRL+ALT+T) and execute the following commands (one by one) .

    sudo add-apt-repository ppa:tualatrix/ppa
    sudo apt-get update
    sudo apt-get install ubuntu-tweak

Then open Ubuntu Tweak and at the first tab (opening screen) click on JANITOR.

Remove any unnecessary files - kernels .. to gain space.

You can see the actual free disk (partitions) space with this command in terminal

    df -Th

Can you please clarify what the problem is ? It's not clear from your question.

If the problem is you can not upgrade Ubuntu then the output of the commands requested by actionparsnip will help.

Press CTRL+ALT+T to open a terminal. Enter the commands then post all the back here.

If the problem is something else let us know:
a) What you are trying to update
b) How it's going wrong.

What version of Ubntu you use ?

ubuntu-tweak supports a variety of Ubuntu Versions BUT ONLY the supported (I mean NOT EOL) versions of Ubuntu.

You can do it from terminal by writing

    ubuntu-tweak

Or click on Dash (Ubuntu Icon first in lert Launcher) and write: ubuntu tweak

If you don't use Unity , you have to search the environment you use. We still don't know what version of Ubuntu you use or/and what desktop environmnet.
