How do I restore version 10.04 after upgrading to 12.04.

You can't downgrade. You just reinstall 10.04.

Lucid is EOL in April. There will be zero updates and zero support anywhere. Why do you want to downgrade? Is this a disguised "I don't like Unity" ?
