Upgrading to Ubuntu 10.04

Asked by Robert Hunt

I am trying to upgrade from version 8.04 to 10.04. I have tried downloading the upgrade, burning a disc, using a flash drive and finally using a disc I ordered from Canonical. In every case, I get an error message saying:
E: Unable to locate any package files, perhaps this is not a Debian Disc

The cd I received is labeled UBUNTU 10.04 LTS Desktop Edition.

I think is the Ubuntu standard desktop edition and is better to backup your relevant data and install from scratch using this cd...
