unity launcher bar remain static

I have installed the ubuntu 12.04 lts,but the unitybar where dash home, homefolder and other applications are located in vertically in leftide of the desktop reaim static even after opening any folder or program, Kindly suggest me , how to solve it.

This is normal, you can make Unity autohide in the system settings -> appearence -> behaviour tab
