Have they fixed the program to have classic look yet

Ok have they fixed the set up so I can load the Classic look as yet . . ? Do not like the floating stuff at all ! . .I much prefer the classic look so I can find something with out doing 3 things to get to the program I want to use . for 11.10 . . It is in 11.04 .

Or you can use XFCE and it will look and feel like Gnome2

*Ok when I switch to a NEWER Laptop I will upgrade to 11.10 . . It will
take almost a year to do that unless I run across a good buy as I am

I bookmarked the page where to get the items needed to make 11.10 look
like 10.10 . . Will I have to do that for the next few versions also ?

Properly.

You could have old style on linux mint(settle on ubuntu current. Or switch to debian(stable or testing or sid), there you will be provided with old style.

Yep, because there is nothing to fix, one could ask the same when using e.g. xubuntu, kde, like: when they're going to fix the interface to match unity?

Unity proceeds a different UI no more no less, same goes for other desktop UIs.
