Are Suru icons placeholders?

Yes the whole thing is work in progress. The icons may be simlar but many icons are alike. Why is this a bad thing?

I don't see the point of the question.....

Aside from a possible copyright claim, it makes the theme look amaturish, or like a knockoff. Ubuntu's identity should not depend on another company's identity.

BTW, the IOS icon Ubuntu has "knocked off" if nothing more than the WebKit icon:

I didn't realize a discussion was still going. I had posted the same image in a few other places and the general reaction was that those icons were an embarrassment.
As for the calculator image you posted, the + - x are a different orientation and different color (all being brighter orange) than iOS/suru . The suru icon is the exact same layout and same color scheme (+ - x being darker, = being brighter orange) as iOS.

So....what do you want the people who reply on this forum who are users....just like you, to do?

What is your point or is it just finger poimting with "oooh look something looks like something else"

"Something looks like something else" is actually a big deal. Apple has successfully sued Samsung numerous times over that very thing. That's getting sidetracked from the original question, though.

The question was basically "are the suru icons a work on progress?". It seems this has been answered with " yes". If anything further should come of this question, it should be what one could do to contribute to the project.

I don't know how to contact them. Best I saw was the ubuntu-art mailing list which seems dead. If you know how to contact them please let me know. That's the sort of thing I was referring to when I said the question could be further answered by mentioning how to contribute.
