Have you install ubuntu-restricted-extras as well as w32codecs from the medibuntu repo?

ubuntu restricted extras has been installed but i am not sure on w32codecs if are separate drivers which come in ubuntu restricted extras, if that is the case could you please direct me how to find and to install it.

Add the medibuntu repo and you can install it. If you use 64bit OS then use w64codecs

You can see your arch by running:

uname -m

i686 == 32bit
x86_64 == 64bit
