Selecting autologin should also disable lock in screensaver
Asked by
IlarioGelmetti
What I did:
I just installed Ubuntu 20.04.1 and selected the Autologin option during the installation process.
What I expected:
I expecting to need the password just for administrative operations.
What I got instead:
Instead, once the screensaver went up the password was required.
Discussion:
The actual security provided by this lock is very limited as rebooting the machine is enough to access the (saved) data.
Do you think it would make sense to disable the locking at the screensaver if the autologin is selected?
