Its not officially supported but may be in testing. I have no way to check. Can't see it listed on second site either

This does not mean it does not work only that it does not appear to have been tested yet.

I have this machine, ran the System Testing, and submitted some results. Nearly everything works. Some of the special keyboard keys don't work like Search and what I think are Windows 8 UI keys. The mouse cursor chooses the wrong origin when one turns the touchscreen lid into tablet configuration. I didn't perform some tests like those related to media cards and external displays.

Sometimes the X cursor jumps to about +100+400 and has a fit. I have to touch the display and move the mouse to stop it.

I'm running the system on the SSD (sdb) rather than the 500GB drive (sda). Power performance isn't fantastic.

i installed ubuntu 12.04 on my model: thinkpad twist 3347-4HU. Wireless and touchscreen do not work.

As a followup to my previous comment, I'm running 12.10. I also disabled Secure Boot in the BIOS.

12.10 and 13.04 work well on this machine. There is some level of customization required to make things play nice (see http://www.thinkwiki.org/wiki/Installing_Ubuntu_12.10_on_Thinkpad_Twist) but overall works well out of the box. Wireless DOES work, but requires a proprietary driver to be enabled first.

I've tried 12.10 and 13.04 but I have had no luck with the wireless or even the wired network adapters. I can't get them to work at all. Where are these proprietary drivers at? Following the "Installing Ubuntu 12.10 on Thinkpad Twist" does not help since it is under the impression that the wireless card will be working. For reference my model number is 3347-2RU. I would love to get Ubuntu to work with this machine.

It may have nothing to do, but a few months ago, I bought a Lenovo x220t and had a similar problem (http://ubuntuforums.org/archive/index.php/t-2092378.html). In my case, everything seemed being working fine (card detected, etc.), except that no wireless network was showing up in the list.

After one full trying to solve the issue and getting crazy, I realized that the wireless card was not connected to the antenna.

This can be diagnostized without opening the box this way:
- Is it working in Windows? (For me, it was not working either, which gave me the hint)
- If you have an android phone, activate the tethering (access point) mode, or move your laptop just next to the accesspoint and check if the network is appearing. If so, you can conclude that the wirless card is working fine, but has no antena... Take your screw driver o go back to the shop.

The wireless is working in Windows (Windows 8 in this case) but as far as I can tell Ubuntu doesn't even see it. The way I look for that is to look under the networking section to see if the system sees a MAC address. So for the wireless I see no MAC address, but for the wired I see the MAC address.

To make things weirder for me, I can take a random USB wireless adapter that I have and plug it up to this Twist, have Ubuntu see the adapter and the Wireless SIDs, but it only acts like it is connecting but it is unable to ever pull up a IP address. Even adding manual IP doesn't seem to do anything. Plug the USB wireless adapter into a Windows machine and it works just fine and I'm able to get online.

I got the wired working, it turns out I had a bad connection cable in the wiring closet!

I skip Ubuntu at this version, since it does not fully support twist, especially touch screen. I use Virtual Ubuntu 10.04 and it works fine for some basic tasks.

Twist is specially designed to work with Windows 8 and Office 2013. In this way it is fun and productive. Install Ubuntu on twist will sort of loose fun and will not increase production.
