Download restart from begining...

Good day,

I am using Transmission application.
If a download is interrupted, for example the Internet connection is interrupted, when the connection is re-establish the download will restart from zero so if a download was 2/3 completed it will restart from the beginning.
Is this normal?
Same thing happens if the computer is restarted when the computer come back on-line the download will restart like if this was a new download instead of continuing from where it had stopped.

No, torrents support download resuming. I suggest you try this:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:transmissionbt/ppa; sudo apt-get update; sudo apt-get upgrade

To get a newer transmission, may help
