Tracker Applet: Index corrupted

Just installed 9.04, wthout any visible problems. Upon starting the next morning this:

Error message:

Tracker
There was an error while performing indexing:

Index corrupted

Three buttons:
Reindex all contents Cancel OK

The reindex comes up with the error message, ad infinitum

Have restarted, no fix

Help seems to be needed

Sorry that was a bit hasty! The lnik gives a work-around to this known issue and should be quite harmless.

Thanks again Tom, I used the work-around and the applet disappeared and after restarting has not shown up again

I had similar issue after installing an update to a firefox add-on, not right after updating. I had all the bugs worked out for my purposes with the 9.04 distro. Had to install Tracker-utils before the patch worked.

For what it's worth, you'll need to have the tracker-utils package installed first. A bit more detail on the thread below.
