Plugin for media players not dowloading

Whenever i play an audio file (mp3,acc,wav) with an audio program it says i need a plugin, same goes with videos...Right when the download starts it say error could not download check internet connection, which is fine....
I have tryed a number of other programs and they all have done the same.

Hi please do this:
1. Open a terminal by hitting CTRL + ALT + T
2. Insert and run this commands:
sudo apt-get install gstreamer0.10-fluendo-mp3

3. Try to listen your music.
