totem played doesn't play full VOB clip 40sec long stops at 28sec

I am trying to playback a VOB file in Totem player that in length is 40 sec long and stops at 28 seconds

The totem player is the only one installed.

Thanks for responding. We are new with this system and if you could direct me to a easy to use web material on how to istall other players /drivers for Ubuntu that would be a great start.We lost our I.T guy suddenly and now in this position.

use software centre, there is vlc ang gnome-mplayer you can install to test (as well as others)
