Ubuntu 10.10 Movie player do not work

I have the new Ubuntu 10.10 and the movie player do not work. When I tray to work it it gives me a message:

 "The required software to play this file is not installed. You need to install suitable plugins to play media files. Do you want to search for a plugin that supports the selected file?

The search will also include software which is not officially supported."

After I do the search and updated the packache list it ask me for my installation disc. After I put this disc, it reads it can not find
anything. " No packages wit the requested plugings found....

 The requested plugins are:

text/html decoder

What can I do now?

Hello,

Go to the Synaptic Package Manager and install the non-free Codecs.
