thunderbird SMTP setup

Hello everybady, i just switch from windows to ubuntu 12.10 32 bit . Can someone please tell me how to setup the server SMTP.

It depends on your email service provider. Who is it? Do you have configuration data?

Thank you for the replay, it is roundcube webmail, now the short version of the story is like this, i have got a web page with personalized email address and i would like to be able to read my email with thunderbird, if possible.
