Receive mails from thunderbird on yahoo pop

Hi

can anyone help me with thunderbird on 11.04. just set-up a yahoo account on thunderbird. i have over 2000 mails in my server, thunderbird has only downloaded 357 mails. but it would not download any longer with an error message

The RETR command did not succeed. Error retrieving a message. Mail server pop.mail.yahoo.com responded: problem retrieving message.

please help

The error message that you're getting looks like it's coming from Yahoo's mail server, and Thunderbird is just showing you the message that it's received from the server.

If it's always failing at the same point, that would suggest to me that the problem is with one particular message (the 358th one in your Yahoo mailbox), so it might be worth going into the Yahoo webmail interface and deleting the first message that hasn't been downloaded to Thunderbird, as that might fix the problem.
