Update to tesseract 3 ?

Any timeline to update to version tesseract 3?
This version supports many new language dictionaries.

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:alex-p/notesalexp; sudo apt-get update; sudo apt-get upgrade

And you will get it.

I know about ppa:alex-p/notesalexp but this is big ppa with many updates that I don't want them.

Then just run:

sudo apt-get --reinstall install tesseract; sudo ppa-purge ppa:alex-p/notesalexp

You have now ONLY updated tesseract and then removed the PPA, so none of the other packages on the PPA will update.
