i'm trying to install mozilla firefox 3 on unbuntu 8.04 hardy. I have no idea of how i should install the package i downloaded. I need guidelines to install this upgrade via the root terminal or the synaptic package manager.

From terminal

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install firefox-3.0
sudo apt-get upgrade

This will install firefox 3.0.3

To get additional help when you type the above commands the system ask you for password, give your user password, you don't see nothing when you type it, then press enter.
