how to make directory in /root/usr/

 i want to install java software (jre ) and after root pasword it is asking to install as 1st. change the directory as type ( cd /usr/java/ ) but in my computer root dir. there is /usr/ but in the usr dir it not showing /java/ as folder or directory pls tell me how to create or make this dir in usr folder

1) I'd suggest you use apt / aptitiude (software center) to install java jre , it's in the repo..

2) If you for some reason installing this "By hand" , open up a terminal and use "mkdir"
"sudo mkdir /usr/java/"

Ist I installed ubuntu , and I install java through S.P.M ( Synaptic package Manager) but whenever I open web site operated with jre it does nopt open the site ( like On line tradings, Stock exchanges)
Tell me how do I solve this problem . I already asked in the question No. 93434. and I am not able to solve the problem
