Installing sun-java6 manually.

Asked by acheman

I'm trying to install Java on Ubuntu 11.04, so i can run Minecraft.
I'm connected to the internet at school, through a proxy, and I am able to surf the web and whatnot.
Things i've tried so far,
1. Searching for sun-java6 in Ubuntu Software Center doesn't work, i've added the Canonical Partners Repository here [<a href="http://tinypic.com?ref=whlggj" target="_blank">screenshot</a>]
<a href="http://tinypic.com?ref=4ln2qe" target="_blank">This</a> is what happens when I try to search for it.

2. I found this question <a href="https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/sun-java6/+question/153614" target="_blank"> here</a>, this is the exact problem I am having with trying to install using Terminal, it just says <a href="http://tinypic.com?ref=a24qhg" target="_blank">this</a>

3. after a bit more hunting around, i found this question, <a href="https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/sun-java6/+question/143038" target="_blank">here.</a> I procceded to download all the .deb files that end in i386 or all

this is the list of files:
sun-java6-bin_6.22-0ubuntu1~10.10_i386.deb
sun-java6-demo_6.22-0ubuntu1~10.10_i386.deb
sun-java6-fonts_6.22-0ubuntu1~10.10_all.deb
sun-java6-javadb_6.22-0ubuntu1~10.10_all.deb
sun-java6-jdk_6.22-0ubuntu1~10.10_i386.deb
sun-java6-jre_6.22-0ubuntu1~10.10_all.deb
sun-java6-plugin_6.22-0ubuntu1~10.10_i386.deb
sun-java6-source_6.22-0ubuntu1~10.10_all.deb

I copied all these files to /var/cache/apt/archives via the terminal, checked they were there, and then typed
sudo apt-get install sun-java6-plugin

acheman@acheman-ThinkCentre-M57e:~$ sudo apt-get install sun-java6-plugin

Now I have no idea what to do. Can anyone help?
Thanks acheman
