javase6 for ubuntu 10.10

In software centre, enable the partner repository and you can install sun java from there

Since my internet connection is slow,I went to internet cafe and download all
these files as mr eliah kagan said.

But when I tried to install it is not installing

it give this error

However, for now, PLEASE repost the message you just posted, in https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/sun-java6/+question/143038. (Reposting messages is generally a bad thing to do, but in this case, posting it *here* was a bad thing to do, as it really belongs *there*.) Your post doesn't make any sense in this old question. Other people will have no idea why you manually downloaded .deb files, given the context of actionparsnip's answer. They will also have no idea what you're doing extracting .tar files, since by looking at this question page, they have no way of knowing that they're the .bin JRE/JDK installer files downloaded from Oracle's website. I understand the context because I'm the one who recommended that you manually download the .deb files, but switching from one question to another with wild abandon is getting confusing even for me.
