Insalling Java 6 on ubuntu 10.10 maverick

help the summary tells it all I have firefox 3.6 browser and ubuntu 10.10 can not even open the download!!

sun-java is in the partner repository

Step 1 - add partner repo from menu:
System → Administration → Software Sources
[ Other Software tab ] check "http://archive.canonical.com/ubuntu lucid partner"

Step 2 - update your apt database
press the Reload button after making above change or type "sudo apt-get update" using terminal

Step 3 - Open the Applications→Software-center
then you should find: sun-java6-jre and sun-java6-plugin (web plugin)
Or using terminal type:
sudo apt-get install sun-java6-jre sun-java6-plugin
