rename files using source directory and meta tags?

Asked by Jonas Lagerwall

Hello!

I really love soundKonverter, much better than the other ones I've tested. I only miss one thing, and that is to be able to generate the files in the source directory, but using meta tags for the file name. I'm guessing this is not impossible to implement.

Thank you for reading,

Jonas

Second, is a nice feature where you can name the newly converted files based on the metadata (tags) with the audio files. There is a drop-down menu where you can choose pre-made options on how you want to name the new audio files or you can specify what you want in an input box.

1. For some reason the files I get with soundconverter are not playable on my andriod phone, wheras the ones i get with soudkonverter are.

2. I am aware of the metadata-renaming function in soundkonverter, but the source directory is not an available option, I have to hard code it, which I don't like to do.

Do I understand you correctly, you would like to have a new space holder for the "meta data" naming mode that contains the source directory?
That should be doable.

It will be part of soundKonverter 2.1.0 and you can already check it out at https://github.com/HessiJames/soundkonverter if you want to.
The new space holder is %s and gets replaced by the source directory.
