no menu option for "Software Resources" in Xubuntu 10.10

Why is there no menu option to access software-properties-gtk in Xubuntu 10.10. Before learning what the package name and command is for software-properties-gtk, the only way I know to access it was through Synaptic, and going that route was rather inconvenient. It is because Maverick is still in pre-release that this issue exists?

Log a bug. Maverick is still in beta. It is NOT stable and NOT ready. You could manually add the item using alacarte.
