Log in issues within app

I attempted a login with my normal email--said email address not registered;

did a registration with email address, underwent a horrendous exercise with "captcha;" after several attempts
to recognize the "captcha," finally got through, said "email address already registered." (huh??)

did a few more login attempts with my "already-registered" email address, kept saying "did not recognize email address;"

Came here to blog, and was able to sign in and change password. (I've yet to sign in with new password within the desktop app).

PLEASE CHANGE THE CAPTCHA ABILITY--IT IS HORRENDOUS--NEED A MAGNIFYING GLASS AND MORE DISCERNIBLE LETTERS.

There should also not be a login issue with a registered email address--problem with app registration link??
