DraftSight Reinstall

Ubuntu 12.04

I had DraftSight working before, forgotten to renew the license and I removed it.
Downloaded the application again and tried to install.
First I got this error “dpkg status database is locked by another process”.
In Terminal I did this:
luis@luis-G41M-Combo:~$ sudo rm /var/lib/dpkg/lock
[sudo] password for luis:
luis@luis-G41M-Combo:~$ sudo dpkg --configure -a
luis@luis-G41M-Combo:~$

Last install Draftsight the result:

luis@luis-G41M-Combo:~$ sudo dpkg -i --force-architecture draftSight.deb
[sudo] password for luis:

What is the output of the terminal commands

uname -a
lsb_release -a

It seems that you are running the 32bit variant of Ubuntu, and on http://www.3ds.com/products-services/draftsight-cad-software/free-download/ there is the statement "Linux Users: DraftSight is unsupported on Linux 32bit machines."

So probably you cannot install/run DraftSight on your machine.

Might be the new version 2015 which I download few days ago. as I said before I had it working on this PC and don't know the version but it was during 2012.
I see DS unsupported for 32 bit this is the end if I don't find a earlier version.
Is there a good 3D CAD application for Ubuntu 12.04?
