Hi ,

in what form are these files ?
pdf ? txt ? word documents ?

If you right click on a file what program Ubuntu offers to open with ?

If you open the document so you can read it , then you can search a "print" button , usually exists.

Thanks

Is the problem that you have the files but don't know how to print them or that you can not find the files?

If its the first then it should be easy. Tell us what the files are called (full name including any extension) and we can tell you what software you need open and print them.

If you can't find the files do you have any idea what the files were called or what they contained. There are commands to search your hard disk for files but we need some information to go on. If they have been deleted however they may be lost forever

Open the file manager this will open your home folder.

In the top bar (just below the menu, if you have one) keep clicking left until you cant go any further. then there is a silver icon a representation of your entire file system. Click on that.

Now click search and in the bar that open type

*.pdf

and click on the magnifying glass icon.

This will now search your entire file system for all pdf files. It may take several minutes but if its still on your system it will find it.

I have not found them I keep getting and archive error. Think Ill just go the the office and get the papers I need and if this happens again maybe I will be a little more savy with this system. Thanks for trying. I appreciate your help. I'm just really frustrated with the whole thing now. Thanks again.

Can you help with this problem?
