run:

gksudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list

the top 3 lines detail the install CD, add a hash character to the start of the lines and the CD will be ignored. Save the new file and close gedit.

The hash character is '#'

Then run:

sudo apt-get update

Is it smooth?
