Installing google earth

Hi, I have tried to install google earth afew times but to no avail! It downloads OK into a saved file, but I don't seem to be able to install it. I have tried opening it with archive and with ubuntu software manager, but everything just seizes up! It installed with no problem when I had windows, so I guess there is something I need to do differently with ubuntu classic to get it on my computer. Can anyone help please?

Thank you, I managed to install it. It appears differently to how it was on windows but I can manage with it! Brian
