Snap directory too big and too visible in /home
Hi everybody,
on my Ubuntu 22.04 the snap directory with 15 application is 1,5 GB. I read somewhere that the snap directory in /home contains only configuration files. Why then 1.5 GB?
And if it contains only configuration files why is this folder at all visible. The name should be .snap, shouldn't it?
Why do I loose 1.5 GB of my home directory space?
I read somewhere that by removing apps via snap the config files in /home are not touched. If 15 apps cause 1.5 GB config files how shall that work if most if not all apps are installed in future via snap?
This whole thing belongs somewhere under root, not in users /home.
Any idea what this is about and how to solve this. Does anybody run Ubuntu without snap? Any feedback on this?
Thx for your time and effort
