My Mic doesnt work with Skype. HELP :)

I always use Skype with Windows XP. I need help to make my sound sistem work on my Ubuntu software. I cant used anyway my mic. Please let me know any instructions. Thanks :)

in my case Skype doesn't work too, but Ekiga does fine.

You can download the Skype 2.1 beta version from skype website. Then install it.

After installing login to your account.
Then go for the green button at the left hand bottom of the skype window.
There go to options --->> sound settings.
Toggle with your sound out options.

Then just test your skype volume for your mic by using echo testing.
If it doesnot work even then restart you system, it should work then.

I love skype, i just wonder why in my acer aspire one the mic isn't working for ubuntu linux netbook edition..

If windows i can find the driver, but linux i don't know how?

could you help me please?

I also have this problem too. I'm using Acer Aspire One Netbook. My Builtin Mic not work at Skype but External one does.
