Skype doesn't appear in unity launcher after minimizing

whenever i minimize a window, such as skype, it will still be active, however it wont appear in my unity launcher in ubuntu 11.10.
how do i fix this?
this has become very problematic, and it happens only with skype. all of my other apps work just fine.

If i understand your question correctly. You can minimize the windows, though you are not seeing the indicator in unity launch bar that the application is open, is this correct?

IE. your missing the small Triangle next to the icon in unity launch bar? Or the application icon is missing from unity launcher all together?

i have seen this same problem posted in another question here on this forum, which has recieved no answers. i would love to help out, but i was playing around with the settings, and what i THINK i did was to add the skype icon from the dash into the launcher, and then launch it from there, and then it suddenly showed up again. sorry i cant be of more use, but i think i kinda figured this out on my own, but thanks for posting here anyway.
