we want skype 4.2 . what we have to do? because of skype beta 2 was not good.............

Simply, you can't do nothing. Skype is a closed source software. So you can't do nothing.

Skype 4.0 for Linux has been released. A list of new features can be found from blogs.skype.com/linux/2012/06/skype_40_for_linux.html

It will be included to Ubutu when bug 1013258 is fixed.

After Microsofts acquisition of Skype, thank you Microsoft for updating Skype! However Skype has a problem, starting from Terminal with Lubuntu 12.04 LTS:

USERNAME@ubuntu:~$ skype
Aborted (core dumped)

Skype 4.0 for Linux works for me running Debian 7 Wheezy though.
