Can the version of simplesamlphp in the package manager for bionic be updated to the latest version (Currently 1.18.4)?

Can the version of simplesamlphp in bionic be updated to the latest release of simplesamlphp? It contains various security updates.

If there are important bug fixes, then please create a bug report with a request for updating the package, or a request for a backport.

I do not see a PPA with the updated version, but maybe it is possible to manually install the version for Ubuntu focal also in bionic (it seems that all dependencies are fulfilled).
