scanner not detected

I am new at Zorin,Linux.I have installed Samsung CLX3175FW. The printer works but I am not able to scan from the printer to the PC.
The scanner is not detected by Ubuntu.The Samsung's technician have told me that this printer is not compatible with Linux.
Can you help?

The support agents (don't confuse them with technicians) are not right. Samsung supplies a Unified driver for Linux with printing and scanning capabilities. Actually the Linux support from Samsung is rather good compare to other manufacturers.
The driver can be downloaded from the Samsung support page: http://de.samsung.com/de/Geschaeftskunden/BusinessBuero/BusinessPrinter/FarblaserMFP/clx3175fw/CLX-3175FWTEG/detail.aspx?atab=support&aguid=16f27a98-2d30-4b4f-989d-b11997aefd9a&dl=driver

But actually we are not a Zorin support platform. Zorin is Ubuntu based but not an official derivate of Ubuntu Linux.
You will have to ask for help in the Zorin comunity if you need help with the driver: http://www.zoringroup.com/forum/

 As you can see I am new at Linux.I do appreciate your help.The first
thing I have done is to remove all the Samsung drivers installed.I did
click your Link and I did download 3 Drivers successfully.I did
Extracted them to Archive not knowing how to or not install them.It is
not working.The printer is not communicating with the PC.I thank you for
your help.I will try The Zorin Link so graciously provided from you.

Zorin is not supported by the Ubuntu community. Zorun support is entirely separate to Ubuntus.
