cant upload photos to facebook from shotwell

I am trying to upload photos from facebook from shotwell photo manager. I went to the help page and followed the prompts.
I logged into my facebook acct, clicked on account, then privacy setting, application and websites then edit and it did not show shotwell for me to click on and edit. I am not running windows on my computer I am running Ubuntu. Could you please help me figure this out on how i can put up pictures

Try this from within Shotwell:

Go to Edit > Preferences. Click on the Plugins tab and make sure that Facebook is checked. Exit this dialog and select a photo. Click File > Publish. You should see an option in the dialog box for Facebook. Enter your credentials and publish your photos.

What Laura said should work for you. If it doesn't, I'm curious to know what version of Shotwell you're running. You can find out by choosing "About" from the "Help" menu. Versions of Shotwell older than 0.11.6 will not properly work with Facebook's current login system.
