Automatic tag showing where published

Is it possible to set up an automatic tagging system so when you publish a photo it will be tagged as such? Better yet if Shotwell could recognize when publishing if a duplicate is already been published. I think in todays age with so many cameras and pictures to be stored it would be immensely helpful.

Shotwell does not have this capability today. Feel free to file a ticket in Shotwell's bug-tracking system (see http://trac.yorba.org) if you'd like the developers to consider a feature like this for future releases. Thanks!
