how do you change admin. passwd. to no passwd. Can't download video player ,need authorative passwd. old one unknown

Do not change your admin password to no password. You need a password to administer the system and while it is possible to disable password requirement to log on I do not recommend it as you are more likely to forget it if you don't use it.

i'm also told theres no recovery file

1. Have you managed to reset your password? If not what error did you you get?

2. What do you mean by "recovery file"? Is this an error message and if so when do you see it?
